nice thing about working where i work. i have quite a bit of down time to go scrounging around and working on personal projects, one of the perks of having a cool boss too. so i decided to make something one off. (it can be duplicated if the price is right.

i haven't bolted it in yet but there will be more pics when i do. i might do it sometime this weekend if i find the time. as well as the test results

| That is awesome. I definatly wanna hear how it performs.....bolt it down already! LOL. The only thing i have in question is the end of the bar seems like its matted to mounting plates with ball joints. Wouldnt you want the bar to be completely solid so it doesnt move? The pillow balls seems as if it would allow the bar to move. |

| these pivot balls are pretty solid as far as play goes there is nonei only used those to make for adjustability. and easy removal for loading the car up with stuff. if you look at most high performance applications most have these joints on them |

| ick i'm gonna have to drop the rear suspension to get the hardware in. shouldn't be too badi got the holes marked but i still need to drill the holes. i'll post up the whole process. hehheh i'm sure the next bar will turn out better than this one. i'll be working on the front bar when i have some more down time at work. |

allright so i got it installed along with a sway bar up front and the results left me with a shit eatin grin for the whole drive. i did end up dropping the rear springs out to get the hardware in but it was so worth it!!!! i will be re designing the base plate though because all bolted up it just doesnt' sit right i may even try to find some sort of reverse threading adjuster for the pillow ball setup so i can adjust the tension in the bar to make it tighter either direction. it definately made a huge difference in steering reaction and overall stiffness. very nice. with that and the front swaybar bushings replaced my fox handles like a totally different animal. i'll post up some pics when i get home later today |

here we go some pics it was a fairly simple process so i didn't bother recording the whole thing. in all it took about 2 hours. and like i said i will be redesigning the baseplates so they fit the tower better.

| hmmmm... i suppose i could make another one. i'll have to see how much it would cost to ship and figure out the materials. all in all since you happen to be about as crazy about the fox as i am i could cut you a deal. just gimme a couple weeks to work out some bugs and figure out the baseplate situation and i'll get back to you. i have enough material for one more bar. the pillow balls are different but they're the same size as the one i made just different threaded ends. i'll look at the competition for prices so i know the range. but you'll be looking at much cheaper |

went for a little drive today after work, headed out to my boss' house to look at his daughter's blazer.... enough about that though the road to his place is.... well, perfect for testing your suspension, as well as your vehicle's thresholds. the first time i followed him out there he was pretty impressed that my car stuck to the road so well. this was with just the sportlines, and he was driving his ZO6! not like he was trying to outdrive me he could have dusted my ass if he wanted. anyways with the new swaybar and the strut tower bar i was throwing everything i had into the corners and it had much more control than i was used to. pure insanity! i was hitting 15 and 25 mph corners at 45 and 50+ mph! staying in my own lane, mind you. i will be making more!! |

| allright dude. since you want it that bad... 150 shipped. i have to do some more r&d on it so it may be a month or so before i get another one made... or i can just ship you the one i have. the base doesn't sit on the strut tower straight but it sits tight. you will need a transfer punch, a pilot bit and a 3/8 drill bit. it's fairly easy to install. and when i get the new bases made i can ship you a set. or you can wait and i'll ship you a brand new one, with all grade 8 hardware, in the finish of your choice. polished, painted, or both. |

| actually i was gonna make it go around the whole top of the shock tower. on my existing one i'll have to either seal the holes i made or use them and add a couple more. generally 2 or 3 holes would be more than sufficient. so i'll get at it and i'll keep you posted. |

all right i've gained a little headway on the strut tower bar got the bar made and i'm getting the base rings turned so they're perfectly round. here's a rough pic of the new rings. i haven't taken any of the bar yet but it looks good. i think i'll put it on the lathe at work and make it really shiny.
