Car is not drivable, clutch broken. Looking to get 700 for it. 97ABA motor is currently in the car. Rear main seal was also replaced when swap was done. Also has a brand new alternator.

Don't be silly, Mike. Put a new stock clutch in it and call it good. A 'good deal' Scirocco is going to drain your bank as you try to make it reliable. The Fox is set to go if you would just put the friggin' clutch in it. You don't NEED to use a SPEC unit, just get a the OEM Sachs unit. 2L Foxes are reliable, even driven fairly hard. I've got 150k miles on my swap and it still goes fine as my daily driver/commuter. |
