ok i know it sounds far fetched, but here's what i'm plotting. i currently have the opportunity to get another 88 fox wagon and if i can get an audi s4 1.8t quattro i am going to preform a miracle and create the fox as vw should have made it in the first place. i have connections with a wrecker and he said he can get me a wrecked s4 for under a grand from a yard down the street and i will take the whole drivetrain and make a body kit to accomodate the wider wheelbase and fabricate everything as necessary and i should have a fox that can beat anything. i know imma hear some himming and hawing about this topic, but i know it can be done. i have enough fabrication skills to make anything work and the materials are limitless.

| it sounds like a really good idea. Size is obviously gonna be an issue, but if someone can stuff a v6 into the fox im sure you can get a 4cyl in. The only reason i would shy from this notion would be weight and distribution. The setup sounds like it would be an understeer queen. But it also sounds sick as hell, and would be nice to see not only someone do it, but do it right! |

| quick update on psycho fox i just got a 2.0 aeg out of an 04 jetta. and i'm proceeding to completely dismantle it clean it have everything balanced, forged (notched) pistons a 20v head. and of course a little boost. i did a little thinkin about it and the all wheel drive seems far off. so i'm just gonna see what kind of numbers i can put down with this setup. it's a lot of work cause the aeg's mounting points are different than the mk I-III bu ti have a plethora of fabrication tools and skills at my disposal. so it shouldn't be too difficult, the oil pan on the other hand will be a different story. i've been severely motivated recently cause now i have a garage to use at my discretion and no excuses. cept money of course. anyways i'll be in touch i have a lot of pics but i gotta get my stereo in tonight got a date tomorrow. haha. gotta have the badunka dunk!! |
