so last night i decided to paint my wheels. I get started with the improper materials and tools. So theres strike one already. The primer i bought was garbage. So anyways i paint one wheel. Its looking shitty so i did like three coats on it. Well w/e kind of primer it was shit was taking forever to dry now that i think of it i might have been using sealer lmao. So then my x gf decides to call me crying begging me to come pick her up. Its already 2:30am. So i go pick her up, bring her back, go to bed and then wake up and take her back home. So instead of using the crappy products i go get the good stuff i usually get and finish the wheels. My boy calls and is rushing me to hang out. So i finish the wheels and dip out......not thinking they need to cure. So im driving around like its all good, and a chrome truck pulls up next to me and i see my wheel in his chrome bumper and it looks smudged and i see white primer........WTF!!!! Pull over and the wheel that had a million coats had gotten smudged up by the wind, and heat of the brakes. FUCKING gay. The other wheels still looked good. The other front wheel was a little mangled but still looked good..........so now my car is embarassing until i fix the wheel-lol. But the gloss black wheels look FAWKIN HOT!!!

What materials did you use? What do you usually use?

People deride my Fox. I find it to be a Utilitarian Masterpiece!

usually just wheel paint. Sometimes i do the full meal deal with primer, paint, and clear. But my old wheels bronze held up great with just wheel paint.

brake caliper paint works pretty good too you gotta be careful what kind you buy though. vht i found works ok but it will chip if you don't prep right. duplicolor probably makes the best brake caliper paint dries pretty fast too.
