Aight well the fox is no longer down. Its my new daily. I finally found a psa to put in, along with my factory flywheel that i had lightened. Had to get a new clutch cable with the deal and since everything has been just great! In a couple weeks ill do a mild "rebuild". Just gonna replace all the gaskets, have .50 shaved off my big valve head, and solid motor mounts and tranny mounts installed. From there ill move on to the suspension. Good times........

right on man. i'll be putting an audi trans in my wagon pretty soon as well as an 89 wolfsburg long block from what my brother in law told me the jetta it came out of was fast as $#!+ so it should be a nice setup till i get my 2.0/20v together i was also thinkin about picking up another cis-e distributor and adjusting the fuel mixture so i can run one of my turbos on the wolfie. i've been trying to get other projects out of the way before i get started with my overhaul. i just spent a week fixing my ex's jetta. now i'm helping my brother in law with the clutch and motor mounts in his scirrocco so i'd say it's been a busy month so far. where did you get your flywheel lightened? i talked to someone at napa about it and they said they'd resurface it but i think they may have been slightly mentally challenged cause when i asked about it the dude looked at me like i was speaking mandarin and proceeded to make what appeared to be a series of clicks and grunting noises before he went back to his paperwork... maybe i should go back with my big red crayon and some construction paper... anyways... have fun with your rebuild.

that'll teach em to take my parking spot

Sounds like a nice little project you got going on there. I might be going in a different direction first and getting tires and the front suspension sorted out before i move on to the engine. The two main things that were itching me with the motor were the valve cover gasket leak.......which i fixed. And the exhaust leak, that can pretty much wait for now. So we will see. Either way definately got a lot in store for foxy!

Best of luck on your projects!
