Hmmmm....
2008: Replaced fuel line from reservoir to main pump. Replaced fuel line from transfer pump to reservoir. Replaced upper heater hose. Replaced driver's side exterior mirror.
bbooorrrriiiinnnngggggg.........
2009: Replace various vacuum lines and possibly cat in preparation for emissions testing Maybe, just maybe, finally install g60 valve cover/rubber gasket/non-shoulder studs/throttle cable bracket Relay headlights Install & Relay fog/driving lights and wire to factory fog switch Install VDO guages for water temp and oil temp/press
It's pathetic. I have most all the parts sitting in the garage, just waiting to install - some I've had sitting and waiting since the late 90's - and just haven't taken the time to get it done. All I need to pick up still is the studs for the valve cover and locate/fab the throttle cable bracket.
Maybe I'll finally dig into the non-functioning speedo issue and find out if I just snapped a cable, split the drive in the gear box, or have a plain ol' dead speedo head.
Nothing really exciting going on here.... |

| 2008: added Lightforce 240 to the front and converted them to 55w 4300k HID, LF 140mm 55w hids on the roof, 1/2" L-beam to protect the 240's. Nathan K5LA train horn on the roof, added my CB/PA system, 200PSI 5gal air system(converted a/c compressor to air) 2300w power inverter, for summer i took the lowering springs from my 93 prelude and put them on the back of the fox, raised it up as far as it would go and stiffened it, helped with cornering and almost eliminated weight transfer but the soft shocks kept the ride decent. also put my 18" wheels on the rear, this summer im replacing the broken one and i can have a whole set, 215 tires from the Prelude. advanced my cam by 1 notch on the belt when i replaced my head gasket. custom snorkel. tons of little things done to the beast. |

2009: if i can get my $$ project going i want to build a 500hp 16v 2.0 ABA and throw it in there, full air ride suspension with Accuair leveling system, 4500lb winch on the front and rear, custom front and rear bumpers, extend the front out about 6 inches to give me room for coolers and various other things, when we get everythign situated and in the final resting place im going to turn 2 of my friends loose on it to do the interior, custom dash, and tidy up the exterior, and then see if we can make it into a MAG. its already being noticed by the euro and japenese rally ppl up here just from daily driving lol. got a phone call today from 1 of my friends a few ppl were asking about the crazy vw in eagle river. |
